Introduction to My First Root Candle Review...
Root Candles are a pretty big name in the candle world. I read somewhere that this company has been around since the late 1920s
thats a long time and a company that has obviously stood the test of time. They carry many different style candles in scented and non-scented fragrances as well as various candle accessories. You can buy directly from their website but there are also a ton of retailers that carry them as well. I happened to buy my first Root candle at ScentsandSprays.com.
I do plan on buying more Root candles in their Queen Bee collection since that seems to be their most popular style. When shopping on Scents & Sprays, I happened to buy a cute little 12oz tumbler candle in the fragrance Raspberry Vanilla. That sounded so delicious, I couldnt help but buy the darn thing. I didnt see their Queen Bee candles on Scents & Sprays, only a selection from their vanilla series. I was on a mission to buy a Root candle and thats exactly what I did.

| What Does My Raspberry Vanilla Root Candle Look Like?
My candle is really pretty. Its in a tumbler style jar with a swirled frosted design throughout the glass. The look is very classy and elegant which fits right in with other luxury brands. My candle is double wicked and the wax is a natural white color.

How Did My Raspberry Vanilla Root Candle Smell?
When I first put my nose up to my candle, the scent was really light. It smelled like a creamy soft vanilla with a tiny bit of raspberry so what I could smell was definitely pleasing to my nose. I was hoping once lit, it would throw much stronger. I lit my candle in my bathroom and came back to check on it an hour later. I could barely smell the fragrance. An hour later, the same thing
my candle was emitting a very light vanilla scent that wasnt even strong enough to fill my bathroom. It was so light, I had to stand right over it to catch any fragrance at all. Ive heard so much about Root candles, I think I was expecting a stronger candle considering this line is supposed to be a luxury brand. So, to say I was disappointed was an understatement.
I let my candle burn all day and although it burned okay, the scent never materialized. The fragrance itself smelled lovely
a wonderful creamy vanilla mixed with sweet fruit. Had the throw been better, this would have been a great candle because I loved the fragrance from what I could smell of it.

| How Did My Raspberry Vanilla Root Candle Burn?
I didnt burn my candle all the way to the end so Im not sure of the total performance. What I did burn seemed to burn clean.

| Overall Opinion of My Raspberry Vanilla Candle and Root Candle Co.:
I wasnt thrilled with my candle, that much is obvious but since this was my first experience with Root Candles, Im not giving up just yet. The overall packaging is beautiful and the quality seems to be there, I just personally wasnt happy with the scent throw on this specific candle.
So, for now, Im holding out on my overall opinion of this company. Theyre a popular brand so there must be a reason why. I just picked the wrong candle, thats all.
