Pros: Soy candles
Cons: long shipping, ultra strong not always so

Review edited on 12/11/05...

I decided to give this company another chance...mainly because there is one candle scent (Serenity) I can't get out of my mind, and wanted to order it again.
I ordered my favorite scent Serenity, and my next favorite, Sultry Seduction in their largest jar size. (I believe it is 28oz.)

I placed my order on 11-21, and received it on 12-9. 18 days total from time of order to delivery. During the waiting time, they sent me emails informing me of my order's status...from in production to preparing to ship, to shipped.
The candles came well packaged, and have the great scent throw I had hoped for.

The ship time was a bit long, however. IF you don't mind waiting awhile for your candles, I would recommend trying them again.

I will probably order from them again, once my Serenity candle has been burned completely.

Pros: Excellent fragrance selections, strong scents, customer service!
Cons: none that I have found

I ordered candles from this company at the time they had their summer closing after reading a good review on here. I'm glad at that point I only saw the good reviews or I probably wouldn't have ordered and I would have missed out on a wonderful candle company.

My experience was totally different from most on here. I received my order last Thursday which was excellent since they reopened on the 1st.

I purchased 4 candles and the meditation CD. I purchased 3 of the 16 oz frosted soy candles. I got citrus gardens, lime cilantro, and lemon blossom. They were all awesome and true! My favorite one so far is the citrus gardens and I've burned it so much it is almost gone. I will be ordering more soon. It burned cleanly and evenly with no wax left on the sides.

All three of those frangrances were super strong and scented each of the 3 rooms I put them in. I had the citrus one in my office right on my desk, yummy! I had the lemon one in my bedroom and could smell it without it even being lit. I could smell it every morning when I wake up. The lime cilantro is in the kitchen and it is truly to die for! This one gave the citrus one a run for its money. I can't say enough about how much I love these candles!

The fourth candle I purchased was their essential oil candle in organic lavender. This candle is truly sublime and I have incorporated it into my meditation practice. It is a truly holistic experience.

The meditation CD blew me away with its professionalism. You can tell they had a professional do this. The quality of the graphics are amazing. The sound quality and the narration rival those meditation CD's you purchase from the stores. I will definitely use this CD 3 times per week with my meditation practice and would recommend it to others who would like to learn to meditate with candles.

I would strongly suggest that anyone who had a problem with this company before give them another try. I got an email from them when they reopened saying that they worked hard to improve on those issues that you all mentioned before. I didn't experience it myself, but I definitely experienced what the good reviews said and as long as they keep up with the standard I experienced they will definitely be my favorite candle company.

Pros: great soy scented candles, great customer service, fast shipping
Cons: n/a

Here is my review of Candles of Eden:

I placed my order on August 3rd and got my candles on Wednesday which was a total of 5 business days to RECEIVE my order which I thought was awesome!

I ordered two of those 10 ounce frosted soy candles. The first one was papaya nectar and the other was caramel delight and OMG they both are amazing! The paypaya is my new favorite fruity fragrance and the caramel smells so authentic that I want to just dip a slice of green apple in there and eat it LOL. They both are highly fragrant and seem to be burning cleanly and evenly.

As for their customer service they are awesome! I received an email when I first placed my order to let me know it was pending. Then I got another one when it was processing. I got another one to let me know when my order was completed and that they were preparing to ship it, then I got one telling me it was shipped along with the tracking number. The same day it was delivered I got a final email asking me how I felt about their service because they said they wanted me to be more than satisfied. They kept me informed every step of the way, which I really appreciated and I didn't have to wonder where my stuff was.

I highly recommend this company and I know I will continue to purchase from them. I can't wait to try their other fragrances.

Pros: Jar candles have strong scent and throw
Cons: 10 oz. and 8 oz. jar candles not double wicked, Some emails never replied to, Tealights are not quality

I really had a hard time rating Candles of Eden. This is the first time I've had to give what I feel is a poor review, but I will tell you the situation I experienced and you can order at your own risk.

I've ordered twice from Candles of Eden. I placed my second order before I received my first order, but I assumed I would receive both my orders in a timely fashion.

I placed my first order on Aug. 23. I believe it took two days to process my payment information, and then I was sent an email saying that it would be between 7-10 days for delivery. So far so good, no problem there. I was sent an email with a tracking number on Thursday Aug. 25. I didn't receive this order until September 14. Here is why:

I received an email from Candles of Eden saying my order had been shipped, and another email from FedEx with a tracking #. An estimated date of delivery was included in my email from FedEx. The delivery date came and went. I waited a week and still nothing. I emaled FedEx, inquiring when my package would leave Florida as it said it still hadn't left the state. If the delay was due to Hurricane Katrina, I would have completely understood. Meanwhile, I had ordered a second time and received free shipping with my order due to the amount I spent. Because of the FedEx delay, I had emailed Candles of Eden asking if I could change my free shipping and pay for my second order to be shipped USPS. I received my second order, but now I feel a little cheated that I felt I had to pay for shipping just to receive my order on time.

But it turns out my first order wasn't delayed by Hurricane Katrina after all. FedEx emailed me back to say that while a label was generated, it had not been tendered to FedEx for delivery.

I immediately emailed Candles of Eden. I had already paid for products that were way past due for delivery and I was getting a bit upset. Candles of Eden emailed me back to say that FedEx was incorrect and had lost my package. Due to other reviews of this company on Candlefind, I am skeptical as to whether this is the truth or not. Apparently every shipping option in the state of Florida has had a problem with Candles of Eden products "disappearing."

I also emailed Candles of Eden twice, using their Virtual Candle Party and Customer Service email addresses, to ask whether they still had their candle consultant program. The website advertises the program as still existing, but the two emails I sent were never given a reply. To me, that is poor customer service.

I ordered several scents in tealight form from my second order. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE TEALIGHTS AT ALL! Although the containers smell wonderful when you open them, I burned 5 tealights at a time in several different fragrances and there was absolutely no scent throw. I thought one scent may not have been that strong, so I tried Cinnamon Bun, Buttery Gingerbread, and Snow Crystals (mint and vanilla) thinking these would be stronger scents to burn. You can't smell these or any of the other scents I will list later without sticking your nose right in the candle flame. I see no point in buying scented tealights if you can't smell them when five are burning in the same candle holder. These soy tealights also don't last as long as other companies I've tried.

I also purchased two jar candles: 10 oz. Citrus Gardens and 8 oz. Creamy Coconut. The jar candles are highly fragranced, have a authentic scent, and burned evenly, but I was disappointed that the 10 oz. jar was not double wicked. It takes a VERY LONG TIME for these soy candles to burn to the edges without a double wick. By the time it does burn to the edges, the wick is smoking.

If you do buy anything from Candles of Eden, I'd say their jar candles would be your best buy. But there are other soy candle companies on the internet that sell much more fragrant tealights.

Although I was pleased with the fragrance of the jar candles I purchased, again, there are other soy candles companies on the internet that sell jar candles that are just as strong. Many come in the same fragrances Candles of Eden offers. I won't be taking a lot of chances, if ever again, with Candles of Eden. If I ever do purchase from them again, it will only be to purchase a wickless candle. However, one other site I've found that sells wickless soy candles is Old Fashioned Candle Company. I haven't tried them yet, but I will before I buy from Candles of Eden again.

The scents I've tried that I would recommend in jar form are:

Hot Cinnamon Bun
Buttery Gingerbread
Lemon Blossom
Jasmine Breeze
Lavender Mist
Eden
Chai Mocha

I wouldn't recommend: Fallen Leaves (smells more like moldy leaves. Two people I had smell it made a face).

Snow Crystals: It is supposed to smell like vanilla and mint, but it isn't pleasant and smells chemically.

Fresh Ginger Peach: Kind of stinky. I think there are better peach scents out there.

Although I feel strange giving what I feel is a poor candle review, I would not recommend Candles of Eden and feel that you could find better soy candles and tealights. There are sights all over the internet. I'd look elsewhere:-(

Pros: fast delivery, wonderful scents, great selection
Cons: none

I ordered from Candles of Eden on September 23rd and received my candles very quickly.

I was updated every step of the way and received a tracking number when my order shipped out. I also recommended this site to two of my friends who also received their orders very quickly.

I ordered their new double wicked 16 oz Honey pot candles as well as their single wicked 16 oz Frosted Container candles.

I absolutely love the scent throw on these candles! I love the double wicked because of the beauty of the two flames, but I also love the single wicked because it burns slowly and my candle lasts a long time.

The fragrances I tried were: candy corn, pumpkin spice, creme brule, sweet potato pecan pie, and snow crystals. They all smelled wonderful and authentic. The candy corn smelled dead on and I could smell all the ingredients in the pumpkin spice. I also loved the snow crystals which is a blend of chocolate and mint. The creme brule and sweet potato pecan pie were delicious.

I highly recommend this company and these candles and I suggest you try them for yourself and give your own opinions.
