A Note from Carolyn, Editor of CandleFind: Pure Integrity is my one of my favorite candle companies! They smell SO authentic, SO strong and are very clean burning from the soy wax they use...no soot at all. I promise if you try their candles, you'll never want to burn another brand again.

Like a few other devoted CF readers, I ordered from Pure Integrity based on the glowing recommendations. I LOVE strong candles - the stronger the better. Here are my two cents on the two scents I ordered:
PUMPKIN PIE: Talk about scent throw, this is the STRONGEST candle I have ever burned! I live in a 2-story house that is about 1,350 sq. ft. and you could smell the candle burning in *every* room of the house, from top to bottom. The first few times I burned the candle, the scent was a bit on the sweet side for me. And, I did not think it smelled like Pumpkin Pie at all, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it DID smell like. Then, it hit me. It smells like a big batch of warm, gooey butterscotch sauce - the kind you drizzle on top of a banana split. Don't get me wrong, this is a *great* scent, it just doesn't smell like pumpkin pie to me! I'm still on a quest for a great pumpkin scent.
FRUIT SLICES: I had really great expectations for this one, since I like fruit/citrus scents the best. While the scent throw was strong and fruity and citrus-y, the candle had a distinct chemical edge to it. I am still really enjoying it, but it's not one I'd repurchase.
The candles were shipped quickly and packaged nicely and even included the classy touch of a little handwritten note. But, my favorite part was the 2 free tealight candles in "Oatmeal Cookie" that they threw in, and boy oh boy, am I GLAD they did! The tealights smelled EXACTLY like fresh oatmeal cookies baking in the oven. In fact, I would dare to say that you would not be able to tell the difference if you actually had some oatmeal cookies baking in the oven. Get this, I don't even LIKE oatmeal cookies, but this scent was FANTASTIC, with oatmeal, butter, and cinnamon notes. So, I did what any self-respecting candle addict would do, I placed another order of candles just to get the large size of Oatmeal Cookie. I will include that review later.
Bottom line: This company is a WINNER and thanks to Candlefind and all of its members for shining the light on such a great candle company. I wouldn't have known about them otherwise. Puts Yankee Candles to shame!

I ordered several PI candles a few weeks ago. I got the Apple Strudel and a small Hazelnut. The candles burn beautifully. My problem is that I have a large kitchen-Family Room space and when I burn candles, I really, really want to smell the scent. Unfortunately, the Apple Strudel didn't do a thing for the area, so I emailed the company (this is NOT something I've ever done before). Not only did I receive an email back, but I also received a personnal phone call from the owner, Jeff! We chatted forever, with me being in shock. This company definitely prides itself on PLEASING their customers and in today's mixed up world, I doubt any of us find this very often. Jeff suggested that I try PUMPKIN PIE (on him). Wow, wow, wow! This was my answer to finding a strong throw in my space. Jeff also sent me 2 Macintoch jars to try and they too were awesome -though not quite the throw of the Pumpkin. I also “tested†my new jars at my daughters' who has a larger area then mine and all we could do was smile! When we purchase candles we do take a chance and the one I took turned out to be “award winningâ€. Not only do I highly recommend these scents, I also want to acknowledge the incredible service of PI. This may sound weird, but Jeff and Jenn helped restore my faith in mankind! Thanks Pure Integrity -you'll definitely be hearing from me again!

Super strong, no labels, pretty jars, clean burn, awesome customer service

Higher prices, wick maintenance

I have a love/hate relationship with this company. I LOVE their frosted jars, no labels on the sides of the jars, scent strength, clean burn, and customer service. I dislike the wick maintenance, higher prices, and sometimes the colors of particular scents (I have a red, white, and black toile bedroom--the candle scent I would like to put in there is green ) The positives totally outway the negatives though, I just don't order from here as often as I would like to.
First order:
16 oz. Pumpkin Pie--the two people that commented on this candle while it was burning in my home asked if I was making pancakes or waffles. It does not smell like pumpkin pie to me. Granted, it is a very nice bakery scent AND super strong, just not what I was expecting--I can't pick out the spices at all.
16 oz. Fruit Slices--this is not Pure Integrity's fault, but I cannot stand the smell of this candle. I am guessing the grapefruit/citrus in it is what has turned me off; I burn it only when I am cleaning so other chemicals are in the air competing with it. If you are familiar with this scent and love it, then this is the strongest candle out there.
16 oz. Vanilla Almond--this candle I truly loved. It was white in color, strong-scented, and reminded me of the Vanilla, Butter, Nut flavoring you bake with. I would definitely order this again.
5 oz. Tropical Breeze--I liked this one a lot too. Very soapy/musky. I put it in my bathroom and it filled that nicely, spilled into the hallway, and could be smelled in the den. That's great throw for a small candle. Men of the house will appreciate this scent.
I received free tealights of:
Hot Apple Strudel--nice
Harvest--really nice
Orange Vanilla--good
Vanilla--nice, but I like Vanilla Almond better
Papaya Passion--loved this one, wish I would have gotten this instead of Fruit Slices!
Ocean Breeze--similar to Tropical Breeze but lighter
Almost Paradise--nice
Fruit Slices--STRONG!
Some of the free tealights were part of the summer sampler special, the others were given to me because I asked about that particular scent in an email. That was so very generous of Pure Integrity to include all of them! I love that they have Bible scripture on their website (makes them more trustworthy in my opinion) and the people are so nice to deal with. I'm just not used to shelling out a lot of dough for candles. I understand the "you get what you pay for" saying, but as a stay-at-home-mom I just can't afford a lot of candles from this company so I would rather order from somewhere else that is soy and close enough in quality. The wicks do drive me crazy though, that is why I gave them a 9 instead of a 10. A lot of trimming is needed when burning them for long periods of time. Their $5.00 flat shipping rate is awesome (and they arrive super fast), I just wish the candles were cheaper. I do still splurge from time to time though as I am waiting on my second order from Pure Integrity. I'll update on these scents later. Bottom line, if money is no object, these candles are hard to beat in scent strength. If you're cheap like me, there are smaller candle companies that come close.
*****UPDATE*****10/31/06
Received my second order, again lightning fast shipping! These candles make me giggle . . . I think they're too strong for me or my house is too small!
10 oz. Oatmeal Cookie--HUGE throw! I could smell it downstairs all through the house AND upstairs! There was no escape from this spicy sweet cookie aroma! I had to put it out after a couple of hours.
10 oz. Creme Brulee--This smells just like the dessert! You can smell the sugary eggs and cream with the carmelized top. Not as strong as Oatmeal Cookie, but it still scented several rooms. Definitely more my speed.
5 oz. Sandalwood Amber--Holy Cow! I cannot believe more people have not reviewed this! This scent is PERFECT for the bedroom; musky and sensual. What a mood-setter! I am definitely ordering this in a bigger candle, although my husband and I already have four kids, then again maybe I shouldn't . . . LOL!
Free tealights:
Chai Latte--spicy, creamy tea; my nose picks up a strong clove note, it's really a nice scent. I have a hard time choosing between this and Harvest.
Herb Garden--I really like this one too, it's soft and calming, sort of floral.
Sugared Spruce--sweet pine
Victorian Christmas--sweet, spicy pine. I like this one best, but if you want more pine smell go with the S. Spruce.
Again, eight free tealights for just asking about certain scents, customer service is above and beyond! I have to swallow my tongue about the colors of the candles--the Sandalwood Amber for the bedroom is gray, not green. Some colors are actually different in person than the way they look online. Some look light green and they are actually white, some look off white and they are actually a very light brown. If you are picky about the color, you might want to email or call ahead to check the actual color, but honestly the colors are very subtle and nice, and I am usually an all white candle kind of gal. The wicks aren't as bad on this bunch of candles either. Go figure! I thought I was strictly a bakery scent person, but I am actually enjoying the more unusual scents I wouldn't have tried otherwise. The bakery scents from this company are wicked (in a good way for some people) strong, maybe that's my motivation. But hey, if you like intense, unrelenting candle scent strength, check out Pumpkin Pie, Fruit Slices, Papaya Passion, and Oatmeal Cookie. Those are the only ones I have tried.
I am biting the bullet and will continue to order from this company. I think when you pay a lot for a bunch of candles and only like one or two scents enough to reorder, you can get pretty crabby about a company's prices. Especially if they are this strongly scented and you burn the candles anyway, even though you don't like them, because doggone it, you're not wasting your money. AND THEY LAST FOREVER! But, I'm willing to pay for something I love to smell!
Try Pure Integrity, the quality is worth the cash if you find the perfect scent for you.

I had to give this place a try, and like everyone else, I LOVE them too. I ordered Pumpkin Pie also, and I love it. Its very nice and strong. And I also ordered Vanilla Almond, and I was saving it for a friend, but I think I am going to have to burn it, it smells wonderful. I will just have to order more for my friends. The tealights were such a sweet gift too, they are super sweet people and they care so much. I highly recommend them. I will be back soon.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CANDLES! I WOULD BUY THESE CANDLES AT ANY PRICE. THE PRICE MATCHES THE INCREDIBLE QUALITY! First, the candles are beautiful! The smell is absolutely true to its name & is strongly fragranced w/ a great throw. Don't buy these candles if you don't like strong smelling candles because they are REALLY strong, but in a good way. The person who packed my candles even gave me a few free tea lights & let me tell you these are not your average tea lights! They're overfilled & the smell will fill up a small room or bathroom.
I got a vanilla almond, hazlenut, & oatmeal cookie candles. The vanilla almond is wonderful! Smells just like the name - light, creamy, slightly sweet vanilla mixed w/ drops of almonds. Same great throw as all their candles are. The hazlenut is a very strong candle. To the hazlenut lover, you won't be disappointed. It smells buttery & sweet. It was too sweet for my taste, but I'm sure others will definately enjoy it. The oatmeal cookie is SOOOOOOO good! This is a must have. Oh my god, it is so authentic! It's so warm & inviting. Once it's lit, you can actually taste the cookie in your mouth. I Love This Candle!!! EVERYONE MUST AT LEAST BUY 1 OF THE OATMEAL COOKIE IF THEY'RE PLACING AN ORDER - YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
BTW, the candles burn clean & even. No black soot coming out, even when lit near a draft. There are no labels on their frosted jars, which makes the candles look so elegant. The frosted jars makes the flicker a beautiful white, which I appreciate.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE CANDLES!
