Pros: interesting scents, beautiful pillars
Cons: few stores so most people have to buy on-line and pay shipping

I love this company and have bought a good amount of my candles from them even though they discontinued my favorite candle ever- Apple Cider.

I love both their pillar and jar candles but find I mainly by their jars because they are such a good deal. Their large jars are $20 and they last a long time. I'm still burning some of my Christmas candles if that gives you an idea.

They have many great fragrances such as: Cranberry Orange, Chardonnay, Thai Market, Napa Valley Harvest and Dulce de Leche. They usually burn pretty cleanly and evenly, however, I do have one jar, Sweet Almond, that has tunnelled down the middle much to my dismay. (Luckily, I have bought him on sale, if he'd been full priced- I'd have gotten my money back.)

Illuminations usually has a good amount on sale at any given time so definitely give them a go. Try one of their smaller jars or a sampler. I know a lot of their yummy summer jars are now on sale.

Pros: Nice decor & unique fragrances
Cons: Candles weren't as fragrant as I look and kind of pricy.

I tried the Pomegranate scent and I think it's called Clean or Fresh Air? They both smell about the same, which I would have never guessed being that the names are so different. Anyhow, I paid $20 for I think around a 16 oz. size jar and it had one wick. It tunneled a little leaving side wax, and to be very honest, I couldn't smell them at all while they burned. I moved them in my bathroom and still couldn't smell them.

I do like their decor though. & I haven't tried their pillars or other styles. They do have coupons every now and then and also a wide selection of scents and holders.

Pros: Nice selection of fragrances, pretty jars
Cons: Expensive, no scent throw, sooty

I think Illuminations candles are way overpriced but I happened to catch a sale so I bought a bunch of their large jars which are normally $20 bucks each. I’m sad to report that I was really disappointed with the majority of my candles. If I don’t trim my wicks every hour practically, they smoke horribly and the glass turns black. They also tunnel pretty bad and all my candles have a very light scent throw. So light that I can only smell the fragrance if I burn them in a small bathroom. Not good for a 16oz size jar for what they're priced at.

I ended up going into one of their stores at the mall and told one of the sales gals the problems I was having. She told me that Illuminations recently changed their wax formula and haven’t worked all the new kinks out and agreed that the quality isn’t the greatest. She confirmed no scent throw and that they’re burning sooty. Considering that came directly from a sales person mouth… that holds a lot of weight.

I’m stuck with my candles but wanted to warn anyone who is thinking about ordering from this company. Unless you like lightly scented, sooty candles… there are way better out there for half the price.

Pros: great true to life scents
Cons: light scent throw

I tried these candles in pumpkin spice and dulce de leche. They are by far the best smelling candles. You actually want to eat them they smell so great. The bad news is once you light them you can barely smell them at all. Thier web site says they recently redid thier candle formula so it would be worth purchasing them to see if they now have a high scent throw to them . If they had a strong scent they would be one of my favorites. ill have to try the new ones.

Pros: Unique Smelling Candles
Cons: Price ($20.00 for 14oz). Not made with soy wax.

I recently purchased Dolce De Leche and Sweet Pea Vanilla because they were on sale. This candle company has wonderful, unique, expensive smelling candles. The price reflects this. I thought both of my candles had a good scent throw. If you want to try them I suggest you check their web site periodically for sales.
