Pros: Soy, Huge selection of scents, soysprouts burn cleanly and evenly
Cons: wax melts not sold individually

Halloween. If for no other reason than the spirit of Halloween, I'm glad I found this website. I couldn't pass up candles with names like Bat Bites, Boo Hoo, Frankenfresh, and Transylvania Twist.

Since I have never tried this company before, I purchased their smallest candle: a 1.5 Soysprout in the scents I listed above.

When I received the little soysprout jar candles, they were adorable. But they are extremely small. They look to be exactly the same size as they are pictured on the website under Soy Jar Candles. I didn't even attempt to burn them anywhere but in my smallest bathroom.

Bat Bites was definitely the strongest scent in my bathroom. It was wonderful and smelled very relaxing and spa like. It is the perfect scent for a bubble bath. It is described as: Rosemary & lavender interweave with delicious honey for this sensual treat.

Boo Hoo didn't have a very detailed fragrance description. I would describe it as a very soft fragrance. It kind of smells like powder, but not baby powder. It isn't stinky, very strong, or an in your face kind of scent, but it is very light and relaxing. On the website it is described as: A delightful pure & natural fragrance. An Original blend! Hard to describe but not to love!

Frankenfresh smelled a little to me like coconut oil or suntan lotion. I suppose my nose picked up on the pineapple or musk the most. Very nice. It was probably the second strongest scent in my bathroom. On the website it is described as: Great! Fresh green apples are beautifully combined with just a hint of sweet orange and pineapple on a dry down of musk.

Transylvania Twist was also yummy. It smelled a bit like cucumber melon. On the website it is described as: Peaches, Apples, Cranberries & spice twist together to create this daring scent!

I really enjoyed reading the descriptions for all the Holiday and Seasonal scents Angel Scented Candles has to offer. There are more fall scents to choose from like monster mash, candy corn, cider and doughnuts, harvest blessings, Indian summer sunrise, needle in a haystack, plain old pumpkin pie, and the list goes on. They also have some fun Christmas season scents to try as well if anyone wants to write a review on some of those. Just so you know, although there wasn't much jar there to remain messy or clean:), my soysprouts burned cleanly and evenly.

I generally like burning wax tarts to sample new scents. While I thought the soysprouts were cute, for me they weren't a very practical way to try new scents. The soysprouts have to be burned in the smallest room possible in order to smell the fragrance in a room. I prefer when websites sell their wax tarts separately so I can sample just one of several scents, instead of a bunch of tarts in just one scent. But I know for some companies this isn't practical for their business. Angel Scented Candles does sell 10 tarts for $5. There are also some other wax melt packages that are available on their site.

If my little soysprouts with very small mouth openings had this much fragrance, I can only imagine what the throw of the larger jars would be.

I would love to read some reviews from people who might purchase the candles in a larger size or in different fall/winter scents...or any scent for that matter. I think a lot of you would really enjoy the scents from this company. Hope to read some other reviews soon! Smile

Pros: Luscious scents!
Cons: responses to emails a little delayed, but probably busy

I tried two Fall scents, which are now nearly finished. I bought Cider & Doughnuts, and Pumpkin Sweet Rolls. Being a pumpkin scent lover, it never occurred to me that I might like the Cider scent better...but I did. Cider & Doughnuts is my new Fall favorite. It is a perfect blending of the two scents, and a very true rendition. If you like apple scents and are just a little bored with all the apple pie scents out there, give this one a try. No cinnamon in this that I could detect..it really smells like its namesake! I will buy it in a larger size next year, although the scent throw was great even at 8 ounces.

I liked the Pumpkin Sweet Rolls scent very much also, but I don't know that I smelled everything that they put in the description. It's not really that sweet a scent, but it's perfect for Fall, as the other is. It's not an in-your-face pumpkin, and it's void of all those spicy notes, which is a nice change of pace, for variety anyway.

Both 8 ounce candles easily scented more than one room. I like that! They didn't burn clean-clean, but enough so that little wax was wasted. The wax burned to all the corners, but a teeny bit was left on the sides of the jar. No big issue for me, though, because I loved both candles. I will definitely be back to try more scents!

Pros: Unique scents, good scent selection and prices.
Cons: None

There is nothing wrong with this one! I ordered tarts in three scents, cider & donuts, snowman poop and duck farts. I am usually not a fan of names like that, but the descriptions were great. The duck one is the best, Bailey's and cranberries with spice. Heaven!

Tarts burn for a good long time and you get 10 for $5. Pop right out of the burner too. Shipping was fast. You won't be disappointed with this company.

Pros: Lots of scents
Cons: no scent throw, poor customer response

Completely disappointed!!Sad
I read the reviews and made a purchase. I purchased 3 large jars in: Tornado Twister, Duck Farts and Butterscotch Blondies. I also purchased a cute glass that looks like a drink in Lime Mojito. I am disappointed to say that the Duck Farts and Tornado Twister have absolutely no scent throw. I am trying the Lime one today and am willing to give the Butterscotch Blondies a shot, but so far I have been very disappointed.Sad Perhaps the tarts are good, but the jar candles have no throw.
***********
Butterscotch Blondies has a fairly good throw after burning all day in my small guest room. Still a disappointment overall.

Sent an e-mail a while ago and never received a reply-even to say-hey you burned my candles wrong!! Anyway, won't be ordering any candles from here or tarts-poor customer service.

Pros: very cute soysprouts
Cons: lightly scented? update - scents don't match labels

I ordered several of the soysprout jars - tiny, but good for sampling. These jars are adorable, great for a travel bag or stocking stuffer.
I burned "Butterfly Kisses", (soft, powdery) and I did not get much scent throw - not sure if it is the fragrance or the fact that the jar melting surface is so small.
Another scent, "Goblin Giggles" had a stronger scent even before burning, once lit it spread fragrance across one small room. The web site states the fragrance is fruity - but I picked up a lot of vanilla, too.
If you like lavendar, the Patchouli Lavendar has a great scent cold - I have not burned it yet.
Candles burned cleanly, no soot.

Update: 2008, I ordered the tarts this time. They are very well done, the containers are sturdy, no leaking, the labels well designed.
I have to say that I had a few problems with some of my scents. It seems like the scent I got did not match the description, enough that I wondered if maybe the labels were on the wrong tarts?

For instance, 57 Chevy had a berry/fruity scent and it is listed as pineapple and amaretto! Nice scent, but not what I was expecting.

The throw varied from tart to tart, some were quite strong, others quite mild.
