I have tried many candle companies and to me Cottage Hill Candles are the best. I prefer "Tarts" and her Tart melts have the strongest scent throw I have ever had! All her scents are good depending on what scent one likes. I have only ordered 2 candles in small jars they were good too.
Donna - the owner's customer service is above and beyond !! She stands behind anything she sells and if anyone has a problem she corrects it and goes the "extra mile" for everyone. She answers her emails quickly.
The Tarts are packaged perfect and always arive in perfect condition. Any tarts I order from her I always compare to other tarts and I haven't found any that hold up to hers in scent throw or the length of time the scents last. I have some tarts that have been melting for days in a small guest room and the scent just goes on and on !!!
My favorite scents so far are ( I haven't tried them all) : Red Velvet Cake, Holiday Wassil, Love Spell, Night Romance.
Her candles and tarts are all SOY. I prefer all soy candles now. They are all different colors and the colors are very pretty and fit the scent. Her labels are lovely too !! Each tart and candle comes with a small gift card with the scent type on it and it opens so one could write in it if it is a gift for someone.
I hope all will try Cottage Hill Candles - they really are great !!!

I have only melted tarts from Cottage Hill.
I got tart pear and fun in the sun, both fruity scents. The tarts have good throw and the scents are true.
I also bought an electric tart warmer and am pleased with it. Her prices are very good too.
The customer service is great. She answered many e-mails quickly before I even ordered and gave me her honest opinions.

Weird Wax Smell in Some of Them

Here is what I got...
BLUEBERRY MUFFINS – This one was pretty decent. I’m not blown away by it but it does sort of have a blueberry muffin scent to it.
KIWI STRAWBERRY – Again, I found this one to be decent except that it’s cold smell has a slight Crayola Crayon smell to it. This might disappear once it’s burning.
MANGO PAPAYA – This one smells just like cantaloupe. Not a candle scent that I would have ordered. But it is a great replication of cantaloupe.
POMEGRANITE – Many candle companies offer this version of pomegranate. It’s like a sweet creamy fruit scent. It happens to be the version I strongly dislike. I prefer the version out that is more earthy natural and slightly tangy.
MULBERRY – This one smelled just like a Crayola Crayon. I gave it away so I’ll never know if the “crayola” element goes away when it’s burning.
This company just didn’t work out for me personally. I know many people who love this company so I'm tempted to say that this is just my personal preference and you still may want to try them. Customer service is great by the way.
Just a thought. I know that candle makers can not use pure soy in tarts because it is too soft. Most people I know of love their tarts. So what I'm thinking is that the strange smell is in their candles only. I could be totally wrong but like I said, it's just a thought.

After hearing so much about Cottage Hill I was convinced that I should place an order with them. I bought a small selection of their tarts and am extremely happy with my order.
I received the tarts very quickly. Their appearance is high quality as are their scents.
Here's what I received:
Blueberry Muffins: This blueberry scent is amazing. It smells like a blueberry muffin that was made with fresh plump juicy sweet blueberries.
Red Velvet Cake: This tart smells delicious!
Pumpkin Cheesecake: This was a different scent than I was expecting, but it is a good scent.
Cinnamon Roll: This is my second favorite cinnamon roll/bun scent! It's not as sweet as my favorite, but it's very close to the real thing. I love it!
Caramel Nut Cluster: When I picked up the CH box from my porch I thought to myself, "What smells so good in there?" After opening it up I found out that it was the Caramel Nut Cluster. This is one amazing caramel scent and my absolute favorite caramel!
Citrus Splash: I love love love this scent! It smells just like Fruit Slices which is one of my favorite scents.
Fun in the Sun: Another great smelling fruity tart.
Fresh Rain: A very pretty smelling scent that the owner sent me for free. Thank you! :-)
I highly recommend CH's tarts! They are fantastic!

i had thesame experience with the wax that the above poster did, I also could not smell the candles unless i put my nose in it.
