Pros: nice scents
Cons:

My mother got me a bunch of these candles and I have to say I like them but they're not anything truly special. Also, don't get any of their triple fragrances without realizing that you won't really be able to smell the second or third layer as much as the first layer. For some reason the lower layers are really muted or something. You had better like that top layer too because their candles will definately fill a medium to large room in the beginning.

I do have some of their single fragranced candles in both their charmed and farmgrown collections that are pretty jars and I prefer them over the triples. I really like their single fragrances and they seem to have a longer life than the triples.

They all burn pretty cleanly but you need to keep the wick under control or else it will smoke. But they're not nearly as bad as Yankees in this regard. If I hadn't gotten them as a gift, I probably would have stuck to other brands but now I kinda like them.

Pros: Free Shipping w/ $30 order
Cons: A little high in price considering the throw of the candles I tried

I tried some of their triple scented/layered candles that were on special. I first saw them advertised on QVC and thought I'd check out their website.

I ordered direct from the company. I was a bit dissappointed as I thought they'd be really strong smelling, you can smell them when burning if you are fairly close. I have a very open living area and it takes a lot to fill the area...these did not. So I try to burn in a smaller area so I can smell them. They seem to burn evenly and appear to be of high quality. Don't seem to smoke bad. I just always trim my wicks before burning any candle. Helps tremendously. Price is a little high.

I might give them a try again later, but there are others I'll try first.

Pros: Fast shipping
Cons: Soy candles, little to no scent

I purchased several votives, single scents, triplets and soy.
I couldn't smell any of the soy candles when burned.
I did enjoy the green tea scent, which might be a bit strong for some.
When I reordered, I purchased a Triple Fragrance jar candle in Coffee (Hazelnut, Irish Cream and Swiss Mocha), and the Herbal Delights (Mandarin sage, Cucumber lavender, and Citrus Mint).
I am still on the first layer of scent in each candle, and both smell great, and burn well. I guess we'll see what happens when they burn down to the next layer.

Pros: Delicious scents. House always smells sweet. Jars are a good deal. Free shipping on certain orders is very nice.
Cons: Not as beautiful as other candles. Votives are very expensive for votives.

I have purchased from their Triple Fragrance line both jars and votives. I am more impressed with their jars because they burn a lot better. Both smell equally as good, though you do get a better throw from the jars because there is a larger wax pool.

This past year I've tried their jar versions of Patriot (Apple Pie, Vanilla and Blueberry) and Ice Cream (Strawberry, Orange, and Peach). They both tunneled a lot but had a great scent throw. I liked the idea of three scents in one candle, but you cannot smell much of the two lower scents. I also didn't like the way the stripes looked in my house. Not elegant at all! The prices are good for the sizes of the jars. The jar shape is also nice.

While I love the scents of Old Virginia Candle, I am not crazy about their votives for two reasons: 1 - the price for their votives is high and 2 - I've had problems with the wick burning itself out long before the wax is gone. For the price that they charge for a votive, the wicks could be better quality.

Old Virginia Candle is an ok company but there are much better ones out there.

Pros: Clean burning, nice scent selection, free shipping after $30.
Cons: Expensive

I first tried Old Virginia candles last year & have been addicted since. My favorites are: Buttercream Frosting - a nice, sweet and buttery scent that is round & just right; Sugar Cookies - not too sweet, this one really has a nice spice to it; and, Hot Cinnamon Rolls - sweet, warm, spicy and really true to the scent ... love this one.

You can get a lot of these scents in their Triple Fragrance Collection. These candles have three layers, so you can try more than one scent at a time. Old Virginia's wax melts are also a great way to test their scents. The throw is unbelievable - and they last for a good amount of time.

I highly recommend these candles to anyone who loves soy candles like me! In addition to the bakery-style scents (to which I'm completely addicted), they also offer various floral, clean & fruity scents. And on the website, if you spend $30 or more, shipping is free. Worth a try!
