I wanted to try Patriot candles just to see what they're like. Although they smell great when you pop open the lids, they don't fragrance very well once lit. I loved the smell of their melon candles and sweet pea but they didn't burn very well and the fragrance wasn't that strong. Maybe I tried the wrong scents, I don't know but I wasn't impressed at all.
I think these candles would be better burning in a smaller room. I burned them in my bathroom which is pretty big and the candle still wasn't strong enough. I could barely notice the fragrance unless I was right next to it.
Sorry Patriot Candles.

"I usually buy Yankee Candles, however I was in Walgreens today and saw that they had quite a few candles of their own under the brandname "Patriot Candles". I purchsed the 20oz "Creamy Hazelnut" for $7.99. I didnt expect much for the fact that it was bought at a drugstore and for less than ten bucks. However I was pleasantly suprised. It actually smelled as good lit as it did when I first smelled it at the store, and it was strong, the scent lasted throughout my 1 bedroom apartment. It did take a little longer though for the scent to appear, and the smoke seemed a tad heavy. I may buy again if I need to cut down on my budget. However with Candlefind.com I now have a great variety of sources and specials to choose from. Thanks  "

I have recently tried the patriot candles that I bought at walgreens and I have to tell you that they are the best smelling candles I have ever burnt. My husband actually thought I was making cookies when he walked in. The cookie crunch is my favorite. I will not buy any other candles. They are cheap and burn all the way down so you dont waste most of the candle. I am so glad I found these.

Bought a patriot candle from walgreens and was very happy with it. The scent is really strong and it burns evenly. I will definitely buy this brand from now on as I liked it better than my usual yankee candle and the price was great as a matter of fact i got it on sale for five dollars.

I justed wanted to say that I was very surprised with Patriot Candles. I recieved one for Christmas, and I just thought "Oh great, a cheap knock off of the Yankee Candles", but I love the candle. I recieved the Papaya Mango, and it smells soooooo good. It has a nice strong even scent. And I will most certainly buy more, and buy some for friends and family.

"A few months ago I was in walgreens and purchased the Peach Cobbler scented Partiot Candle. It is the best candle I have ever purchased. The scent is strong and last forever, Since I am asthmatic I have to purchase fruit scents. Since then I have purchased the Melon Sorbet, which is just as great. I find myself purchasing one or two everytime I visit Walgreens. I hope they make these forever."

"I work at Walgreens and have bought many Patriot candles and they are wonderful candles. When Valentines day comes around keep an eye out on the Valentine Day aisle for the Cherish scented Patriot candle. It is the absolute best and you will want to buy them all. Some stores order them and some stores do not. It is a red candle that smells better than a bouquet of roses."

"I used to buy mostly Yankee candles but my husband brought one of the Patriot candles for Xmas last year and got me started. They are awesome -- I now burn the home linens thru the house and garden rain in the bathrooms -- kitchen varies but creamy hazelnut is a good choice. Very fragrant."

I was glad to see I am not the only one who has discovered Partiot Candles! I picked up one on a whim one day at my local Walgreens, and I very pleasantly surprised! I first tried "Fall Festival" which is a nice spicy fall scent, and loved it! Next I tried "Apple Jack", which was wonderful - A nice soft apple scent with lots of spice. I even found the holiday scents on sale right after Christmas for an amazing 3 for $5 for the 14.5 oz size!
The Walgreens stores I visit often have all their Patriot candles on sale - 2 for $10 for the larger jars - What a bargain! My latest scent to try is Vanilla Bean - Oh WOW!! This is one of the BEST vanilla candles I have ever found - Very sweet and creamy, and I am very picky about my vanilla scents! These candles are very strongly scented - unbelievable for such an inexpensive candle! I burn a candle in my home office pretty much all day every day, and Patriot will definitely be the choice for my general candle needs!

This was the worst candle I've bought to this date. I tried the Orange Marmalade. It had a great smell when I took the lid off, but upon lighting it, it gave no throw at all!! Very disappointed, and will not waste my money on anymore of them.

I just walked out of my upstairs bedroom and could immediately smell the Raspberry Delight candle that is burning in my downstairs office. I love it! It has good cold throw as well. Before I lit it, I could smell it upon entering my office. I'll definitely try some of the other scents.

I have tried several of these candles in different scents. I have found anything with cinnamon throws well for me but i didnt have any luck with cotton clouds or sunny days, no throw at all. My fav. is cinnamon bars in the large jars. I also liked the Pumpkin Roll, Apple Crisp, Pecan Pie
triple layer large jar.For the price it is a good buy. I got 3 large jars for $20 so i dont mind the hit and miss as much. I have paid far more for hit and miss candles before.
