Pros: soy, clean burn, no wasted wax
Cons: little scent strength/throw with the scent I tried

Even though I would describe this company as a luxury candle company, being that you pay $12 for an 8oz. candle (plus shipping, unless you spend $75 dollars and then shipping is free), I still had an urge to try Soyology because their fragrances sound so different. When I went to their website for my first purchase, I could hardly decide which scent to choose. I finally decided on Nectar, which is noted as a bestseller on their website.

My 8oz jar was clear glass that went straight up and down. The lid was a simple silver tin lid, and there was a bright orange label that covered much of one side of the jar. The color of the label is different based on the fragrance of the candle that you choose. The wax of all Soyology candles is a clean, pure white.

One the Soyology website, Nectar is described as, "Tiger lily, cantaloupe, mimosa, cyclamen." I have never smelled anything out of that mix except cantaloupe, and I don't eat it enough to really know what it smells like, so unfortunately I can't tell you if my candle smelled authentic. When I took a whiff of the wax, though, I did think Nectar was a good name for the scent. It smelled lovely in the jar and reminded me of smelling the nectar of a flower.

The scent and throw of this candle was minimal. The mouth of the jar had a fairly nice sized opening, so I pute the candle in my bedroom first. I kept the door closed, and anytime I walked in, I could barely smell the fragrance. Once the door of the bedroom was open, the throw and the scent became practically nonexistent. I moved the candle to my half bath/laundry room, which is a small room only big enough to hold a washer, dryer, sink, and toilet. The scent strength increased a little in the smaller room, but it was still not a very strong scent. Nectar could just be a naturally lighter scent, but I wish it had been a little stronger because the wax smelled so nice and spingy in the jar. When I ordered it, I didn't expect Nectar to be an "out of this world" strong fragrance, just because the name reminded me of a lighter scent. But I was still hoping for a medium scent strength.

The wick burned very clean and the glass is very clean and clear with no wax left on the sides.

If I were to ever purchase from this company again, I think I would ask the owners what they would consider to be the strongest scent they carry. However, because of the price, I probably won't purchase from them again. They only offer 8oz jars, so there isn't a cheaper way to sample scents before you buy 8oz of wax. If I read any reviews from anyone who has tried a stronger Soyology candle and liked it, I might go back and purchase that one. Until then, I'll just keep hunting for other soy candle companies. Happy candle hunting from Jen the candle hunter:-)
